METALON®
MDS
Material with improved crystallization and partially cross-linked with proprietary additives, this gives excellent wear resistance, self-lubrication and low friction characteristics, like Nylon 66 has been modified with Molybdenum Disulphide filler. It is an ideal material for dynamic bearing application, even at elevated temperatures up to 105°C. These superior mechanical properties, combined with lower water absorption, extend its range of uses over METALON® 6PLA.
METALON® MDS provides excellent machineability due to its superficial hardness and a degree of self-lubrication leading to an improvement in the wear properties of the material. These improved properties, combined with lower water absorption, extend the range of applications that Moly has over Natural cast nylon.
