Surlon offers MetaPET® a high performing material amongst General Engineering Plastic Products catering to medium temperature range, MetaPET® stock shapes are made of crystalline thermoplastic polyester, are marketed under the trade names MetaPET® (virgin grade) and MetaPET® XL (PET + Solid Lubricant grade).
MetaPet- Polyethelene Terephtalate is a semi-crystalline polyester thermoplastic combining strength, rigidity, dimensional stability, wear resistance, and low friction ideal for durable precision parts and FDA-compliant food contact. Its linear chain structure with strong ester bonds and crystallinity ensures stability, environmental resistance, and excellent barrier properties.
